West Turf is a family-owned and operated business. This means success is personal to the entire team. Our farm is located on the Brisbane River in the suburb of Wivenhoe Pocket – a beautiful corner of Queensland that we’re always happy to have you visit!
Our story
Behind West Turf, there’s a long legacy of lawn growing. We’re a family business through and through, built by brothers with decades of turf laying experience behind them.
Brothers Anthony and Paul began growing and selling turf as teenagers in Brisbane’s southside.
In the 1990s, the brothers moved operations to the Lockyer Valley, where they have been for over three decades. Paul manages the farm, while Anthony manages logistics and commercial sales.
In the 2010s, Anthony and Paul purchased a property on the Brisbane River, transforming it into West Turf’s current farm. This location provides access to quality soil and a stable water supply. This ideal environment plays a key part in how West Turf can supply a premium product to our customers.
The brothers’ decades of hard work and dedication to the industry have resulted in West Turf being one of the premier turf suppliers in South-East Queensland.

Years ago, Anthony and Paul made a bold decision to purchase one of the first self-propelled Trebro turf harvesters imported into Australia. It made a serious difference to harvest output and massively reduced on-farm labour, allowing more time and effort to focus on growing superb turf. They have since added another Trebro harvester to the farm machinery fleet.
The West Turf team works alongside Paul and Anthony, going the extra mile to deliver exceptional turf with exceptional service and simple, straightforward advice.

Anthony manages commercial sales and logistics. Find him in the truck carrying premium turf across South-East Queensland, or on the phone taking orders from our commercial customers.
Paul
Farm Manager
Paul is our farm manager. Find him on the paddock early in the morning preparing your order or maintaining our premium turf.
Toni
Domestic Sales and Accounts
Toni manages domestic sales and accounts for West Turf. Find her in the office, or on the phone guiding customers through their turf order.
Hacksaw
Deputy Farm Manager
Hacksaw is our right-hand man at the farm. Find him at the loading bay, ready with your order for pick up.
Patty and Roy
Delivery Specialists
Find Pat and Roy in the trucks delivering another quality West Turf load to your site. They know South-East Queensland like the back of their hand and deliver on time with precision.
Our location
We’re located along the banks of the Brisbane River, just an hour’s drive from the hustle and bustle of the city. You’re always welcome to come down our way and pick up your turf rather than have it delivered.
Not only is our location convenient and enjoyable to travel to, but the job becomes even easier if you happen to have your own truck, ute, or trailer.
If you’re not a local, take the opportunity to visit some of our favourite landmarks along the way: grab a famous Fernvale Pie at the bakery, check out Cormorant Bay picnic grounds at Wivenhoe Dam, visit the Spillway controlling Brisbane’s water supply, or just dip your toes in the Brisbane River as you cross Twin Bridges on your way to our farm!
